Eric is married to Terri Eros, a graduate of King University, Bristol, TN where she earned a BA in Economics. She works in administration and human resources.
Eric’s daughter Erica received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education (magna cumme laude) from the University of Tennessee, and served as a squad leader in the “Pride of the Southland Marching Band.” Erica also received a Master’s Degree in Music at the University of Tennessee. She is the Associate Band Director at Baron Collier High School, Naples, FL.
Eric earned a Master of Divinity degree from the University of the South, Sewanee, TN. He served as theStudent Body President for the School of Theology from 2009 – 2010. In 1988, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
Prior to ordained ministry, Eric worked as an Associate Buyer with Sears Roebuck and Company, at their home office in Hoffman Estates, IL. Later, Eric worked as a Buyer with Parisian Stores, a former division of Saks Inc. in Birmingham, AL.
Eric also founded and managed his own aviation business, serving as President/CEO of Aviation Essentials, Inc. (now closed), an aviation retail product, consulting, and pilot services company.
Eric wrote “Misfits, Pioneers, and Mission”a book about his ministry journey. His book is a call to the church to renew her focus on local mission, to embrace engaging hospitality, to develop nimble/flexible formation opportunities, and to explore creative and entrepreneurial approaches to evangelism in the 21st century.
